Carin’ Clinic
Carin’ Clinic is a not-for-profit Medical Home for children founded in 1993. Carin’ Clinic was created by two school nurses (Karen Pramenko and Karen Conner) who found many of the students they were responsible for could not get needed vaccines, care for minor illnesses or sports physicals due to lack of health insurance. They collaborated with Dr. Vicki Erickson to provide care for these children.
Carin’ Clinic began in the corner of a school gymnasium open 3 half-days per week. The clinic grew and expanded to meet the needs of our patients. We now are a provider for children with Medicaid or CHP+, as well as continuing to serve children without any health insurance.
We pride ourselves in caring for the “whole child” by providing excellent health care, as well as addressing other issues the family may have such as lack of food, unstable housing, lack of transportation, etc. We also have an on-site counselor from JCMH.
Payments from Medicaid and CHP+ do not cover the complete cost of the care we provide, and donations help us to cover those costs, as well as cover our children without insurance. Donations currently make up about 12% of our budget, but with current uncertainties regarding other grants we have received, our goal is to increase our donations and number of donors to
the clinic.
THANK YOU for helping us take care of these vulnerable children!
We appreciate every donation. Please text “5280Give” to 844-844-6844, or visit our website at carinclinic.com
